§ 1: Responsibility

It is the residents' responsibility to ensure that visitors behave in accordance with the house rules of conduct.

Residents must at all times ensure that the property is kept closed so that there is no free access for unauthorised persons.

Do not put wedge the doors open and always close the gate to the courtyard. Access to strangers must not be granted.

§ 2: Vandalism

Vandalism and theft of Provstehuset's property and belongings must be reported to the police.Compensation will be claimed for any damaged or stolen property and it may also result in immediate termination of the rental agreement.

§ 3: Staying in corridors and common areas

§ 4: Noise

Consideration must be given to neighbours in Provstehuset and to residents of surrounding properties.

The property must be quiet from 10.00 pm to 8.00 am on weekdays and from 12.00 am to 10.00 amat weekends.

§ 5: Ventilation

Residents are obliged to ventilate the accommodation on a daily basis and ensure that there is no heat pressure between the window and any curtains, as this can cause cracks in the windows. If this happens, the tenant is liable to pay for compensation.

§ 6: Cleaning

Corridors must be kept as clean as possible. Personal items must not be stored in the corridors -including mats, shoes, etc. that prevent free passage.
Items will be removed without notice.

Residents are obliged to tidy up and clean up after themselves in all communal areas. The landlord may at any time summon additional cleaning help at the tenant's expense in the event of a breach of this.

The roof terrace must be kept clean of bottles, cigarette butts and other rubbish. Always place the cushions in the cushion boxes after use.

The outdoor areas must be kept clean.

Advertisements must not be left on the top of the mailboxes. Advertisements must be disposed of inthe paper container.

§ 7: Waste sorting

Waste must be sorted in the correct containers. If the container is full, please use another container of the same type.

Waste containers are located on both sides of the building.

§ 8: Smoking

Smoking is forbidden in all indoor communal areas and in the apartments. Breach of this may result in the termination of the rental agreement.

If smoking takes place in outdoor areas, all cigarette butts must be removed or disposed of in the ashtrays provided.

§ 9: Bicycles and motorbikes

Cars and motorbikes may only be parked in designated areas.

The locked bicycle basement room may only be used for bicycles and other small vehicles such as mopeds and scooters.

Bicycles and other small vehicles placed outside the permitted cycle areas, including against the building façade or against trees, will be removed without notice.

Bicycles and small vehicles will be cleaned up on an annual basis. Notice will be given prior to cleaning them up.
All bicycles will be marked with a piece of tape, which must be removed by the bicycle owner within 30 days. If the tape is not removed, the bicycle will be handed over to the police.

§ 10: Provstehuset's property

No satellite dish may be placed on the walls or balconies of the property.

Do not drill or hang anything on the building that alters the appearance of the building or is a nuisance to other residents or surrounding buildings.

§ 11: Using the common room

The kitchen rules that are listed on the sign in the kitchen must observed at all times.

When using the common room, consideration must be given to others who are using the room and to Provstehuset's other residents.

The common room can be rented by Provstehuset's residents for private gatherings, against a deposit of DKK 3,000. An application must be made for permission to book the room no later than one month before the room is to be used. The common room, kitchen, toilets and outdoor area must be cleaned after use. The landlord can summon extra cleaning help at the tenant's expense if the areas have not been adequately cleaned.

The landlord may refuse an application for using the premises without giving a reason.

§ 12: Barbecue

It is not permitted to have barbecues on the roof terrace. If a gas barbecue is used, it may be used on balconies, provided this does not inconvenience other residents.

§ 13: Exchange centre

The exchange centre at the entrance can be used for smaller items that are worth passing on. Do not place anything outside the exchange centre itself.

Larger items of furniture must be given away in another way.

§ 14: Storage room

Residents are obliged to lock their own storage room and ensure that it is not used unjustifiably.

Do I have to register myself with an electricity company?

Yes, you must register with an electricity company no later than the day you move in. If you do not do this, we will be sent your electricity bill. We will charge you the amount for this + a fee on your rent.

Can I apply for housing benefit for the rental?

Yes – you apply for housing benefit at www.borger.dk

Can I get an extra chip?

Yes, for a one-time fee you can buy an additional chip. write to info@provstehuset.dk.

How does the call system work?

When you move in, your information is already encoded on the call system. Your guests just have to find your name, after which the ringer will make a call to your phone.

Can the office receive a package for me?

I have not received my rent collection in the mail. What do I do?

Our payment information appears in your rental contract. However, we also recommend that all our residents register their bill with Betalingsservice. In this way, you ensure that you always pay the right amount on time. It may take a few months before your registration is registered with the payment service, so be aware that the money is withdrawn as it should.

My rent has gone up. How can it be?

Every year the rent increases according to the regulation index. Likewise, your deposit and prepaid rent are adjusted so that they always match.

Is the freezer in the common room defrosted?

Yes, a few times a year we defrost the freezer in the common room. You will be notified before we do it.

Can I have a bachelor party/birthday/graduation party or similar events down in the common hall?

Yes, as long as you and your guests comply with the house rules and the rules for using the common rooms.
